FIRST SOCIAL-ARTISTIC DANCE PRODUCTION OF PLATFORM-K FOR DANCERS WITH AND WITHOUT A HANDICAP.
The young Ghent organisation Platform-K brings with ‘mOved’ her first socio-artistic dance-production.

‘mOved’ guarantees an exciting cross-over between dance and image, a whirling collaboration between professional artists and amateur artists with and without a handicap. Movement everywhere! The project was inspired by the video ‘The Meeting’ (from visual artist Marianne Turck), in which drawn figures meet one another or just pass by. Sometimes they touch briefly, sometimes they walk past each other and sometimes they have intense contact. Choreographer Eva Dewaele and visual artist Marianne Turck went looking for a personal interpretation of this video and they worked together with nine dancers for a period of nine months.

The scene is a street where people voluntary or involuntary meet one another. It has the appearance of a miniature society. The meeting can be very extreme in movement and very loud, or particulary intimate and silent. The performance symbolizes an evolution between extremes of emotion, movement, colour and sound.
